Personal Security

We've come a long way since the Internet exploded onto the scene in the 1990s, and keeping your personal data secure has become a task we all need to take an active role in - and most of us don't know it yet.

The World Wide Web is just that - a global tangle of connections and connectors, all designed to give you easy access to information anywhere on the planet instantly.  That applies to the bad guys as well - they have immediate access to the entire world, 24 hours a day.

Keep yourself protected with a program like Malwarebytes (linked above), but always be diligent.  Don't rely on any program to keep you safe, avoid opening email or links that are suspicious, and steer clear of malicious websites.

Network Security

Keeping your home or business network secure is just as important - make sure you have a well-reputed router, and make sure all the security features are turned on.  Avoid using programs like Remote Desktop unless you are also using multi-factor authentication.

If you have multiple locations, use VPN endpoints to create a secure link between them.  Call Andy if you would like us to set up a VPN for your business.
