A "phishing" scam is an email or other message that pretends to be from a trustworthy source. Victims become "hooked" by clicking on a link and/or entering personal information including usernames and passwords to email, bank accounts, and other online accounts.

Always verify the sender of a message before you click on any links. You can go directly to the company website, even if you think the message is legitimate. That is always the safest option.
