If your site is hosted by WCS, PHP was updated last week and you do not have to worry about the recent wave of website hacking.

If your site is hosted elsewhere, you should contact your hosting provider and ask if the update has been performed.  You should be at PHP 8.3, but PHP 8.2 is safe.  Previous versions have been found to be vulnerable and should be updated immediately.

If you manage your own site with HostGator or GoDaddy, you will need to update your PHP settings manually.

PHP is the language used by most websites worldwide.  It is also used by most website building software used by do-it-yourself web builders.
